The Revolution of Openness: Experiencing Grief and Loss in the Pandemic

The concept of grieving the loss of a loved one as a journey allows human beings to understand the healing process in stages, with accompanying tasks, and with needs that are both universal and unique.  Yet, there are many faces to grief and innumerable ways of expressing it. Then, the Covid-19 pandemic struck and grieving as we know has changed in innumerable ways.

We are now experiencing profound losses both as individuals and in communities on levels never before encountered. This compels us to recognize our feelings and reflect upon our experiences in order to heal and move forward in empowered ways. And, in solidarity with each other, take steps toward openness to the powerful transformation that these losses and our grief work can lead us to at this time.

Join us for this one day retreat as we gather together for listening, dialogue and other spiritual exercises. Various resources will be offered to uplift participants on their journey as they consider their respective stories. And, attention will be given to some of the sacred tasks inherent to grieving the loss of loved ones and other losses experienced in this era of social distancing. Please have a journal for use during this program.
